Last quarter, Roll Call stated that Alabama’s 6th Congressional District race was “the most moneyed House primary in the South.”

“State Rep. Paul DeMarco raked in $367,000 in the fourth quarter, businessman Will Brooke raised $320,000, surgeon Chad Mathis brought in $350,000, including personal funds, and social conservative and activist Gary Palmer raised $250,000,” the article noted.

As the DeMarco campaign released our campaign finance numbers for this quarter, Roll Call covered the story early this morning:

State Rep. Paul DeMarco, one of seven Republicans running for Alabama’s open 6th District, raised $484,000 in the first quarter, according to numbers provided first to CQ Roll Call.
DeMarco’s haul brings his total in cash on hand to $650,000.

This morning, Paul DeMarco sent out a message to supporters which stated that “our team is simply wonderful and amazing” for their generous contributions.
